Also great for any wargame such as portable Wargame. Can be used as terrain tiles on 2" chess boards

Back side of each terrain pieces is blank to allow for use as open terrain as needed

 

Note on terrain - Each terrain tile represents a 250x250 yard area. Within a given squares range in real life, there could be rolling hills, a few buildings, grass planes, a few trees, heavy forest etc. but each square is designed to represent the dominant terrain of an area.
 
Open Terrain - Represents terrain that is relatively open, such as a farm field, with a barn and house, a few trees dotting the landscape 
Open terrain is shown by a plain square

Forest Terrain - Represents heavy forest and overgrowth  
Forest Terrain is shown by a green area within a square with small treetops
Hill Terrain - Represents hilly terrain or one large hill
Hill Terrain is shown by Contours
Built Up Areas (BUA)- represents a substantial human development, fortifications, city block or village
BUA is shown by black buildings within a square
Swamp/marsh
Swamp/marsh is shown by blue reeds and water features
