Mini Bowling & Shuffleboard Bowling

Mini Bowling & Shuffleboard Bowling

How Do You Play Mini Bowling?

Mini bowling is a fun, miniaturized version of the classic game. The game is played on a smaller scale, with smaller pins and thinner lanes and smaller pins. It is perfect for kids, as it can be played indoors. Alley length depends on spacing available and skill level. Pin distance is either 3 inches or 4 inches depending on if you have our small or larger set.

Bowlers have 5 frames (more can be added if wanted), and each bowler gets about 10-11 shots. 2 per frame unless a strike or spare is involved.

In mini bowling, you get points for each pin knocked down, strikes and spares are scored similarly to traditional bowling:

Strike: A strike is when you knock down all the pins with the first ball of a frame. It is scored as 10 points plus the total of the pins knocked down in the next two balls. So, if you roll a strike and then knock down 3 pins and then 2 pins in the next two rolls, the score for the strike frame would be

points

Spare: A spare is when you knock down all the remaining pins with the second ball of a frame. It is scored as 10 points plus the number of pins knocked down in the next ball. For example, if you roll a spare and then knock down 5 pins in the next roll, the score for the spare frame would be

points

Remember, the bonus points from strikes and spares can significantly increase your overall score, making them key elements to aim for in the game!

Shuffleboard bowling combines the fun of bowling with the strategy of shuffleboard, creating an enjoyable game that you can play right on your shuffleboard table. Here’s how to play:

Setting Up Your Table for Shuffleboard Bowling:

Arrange 10 pins in descending order on your shuffleboard table. You can use special bowling pins designed for this game. Place them as follows:

Four pins in the 3-point section of the table.

Three pins in front of the 3-point section (still within it).

Two pins in the 2-point section.

One pin in front of the 2-point section (within it).

Just like conventional bowling, ensure there’s the same amount of space between each pin.

Basic Rules for Shuffleboard Bowling:

Players take turns sliding four pucks from their end of the table to the other end. The game can also be played with the 2 balls included in our kits

Stay behind the foul line when shooting.

  • Slide the pucks smoothly without jerking motions.
  • Remove any pucks that fall off the table from play.
  • Knock off your opponent’s pucks as part of your strategy.
  • Award points to the highest-scoring puck in the triangles each round.
  • The first player to reach 75 points wins
